Dear Supporter,

Every year, Big Sky Kids is made possible by donors like you. Since 1985, young people experiencing the hardships, isolation, and fear of cancer diagnosis and treatment come to Montana to enjoy a week of being a kid again. Today, we’re asking for your help to make camp a reality again this year.

I’m Bri Daniels, the Big Sky Kids Assistant Director for the 2023 camp season. Alongside the new Big Sky Kids Director, Wrenn Fleming, and our many dedicated volunteers, I’ll be helping bring oncology camps to fruition this year. I am so excited to be a part of BSK again! That’s right, I’ve been here before.

I was a freshman in college and a new amputee when I was introduced to Eagle Mount. I had recently lost my right leg to an aggressive bone cancer.

Young Adult Retreat was my first oncology camp, and it was incredible. For the first time, I felt seen and heard by other young adults who understood what I went through. I was able to just be myself. Being a cancer survivor as a young adult is intense and confusing. Having the opportunity to share that with others who understand is beautiful and healing.

Big Sky Kids offers campers and their families so much! Every Big Sky Kid gets to enjoy uniquely Montana adventures like kayaking, fishing, hiking and exploring the stunning landscape. They build and reinforce life skills and develop long-lasting friendships. Their families are welcomed with open arms to connect, let go, and heal. Everyone takes home priceless memories. When a Big Sky Kid leaves Montana, they have been refueled by the hope, connections, and joys of camp.

Thank you so much for being a vital part of the Big Sky Kids family! We’re counting on your sponsorship to make camp possible again this year. When you sponsor, you’ll help deliver the magic of camp to each and every Big Sky Kid this summer, and you’ll receive an invitation to the Big Sky Kids Sponsor Dinner where you will meet campers and hear their special camp stories firsthand.

I am so honored to be a part of Big Sky Kids again this year. Wrenn and I can’t wait to meet the campers! Your support will make it possible for us all to move beyond the unimaginable hardships of childhood cancer together. Thank you for giving so that each camper and family may focus on healing, discovery, and just being a kid!

With sincere gratitude,

Bri Daniels
