The horticulture program brings participants
from the community to garden at Eagle Mount. A greenhouse and grow lights
allow participants to plant from seed in the winter. The spring planting
is always a time of excitement as vegetables and flowers are placed in the
gardens. Raised beds allow participants in wheelchairs access and the ability
to work the soil. Working in the garden lets the group get out and enjoy
the countryside as they work with hand tools improving their manual dexterity.
As the harvest season comes, the participants enjoy eating the produce they
have grown, therapeutic in it's own right. If you would like to be involved
